Robots on the Rise

STL and Geek+ bring groundbreaking automation to Med24.dk’s West Coast Warehouse

In a groundbreaking move, SystemTeknik Logistics (STL) and Geek+ are set to implement an advanced automation solution at one of Denmark’s largest online retailers, Med24.dk, at their logistics center in Løkken. The solution includes 30 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)—designed to significantly boost internal logistics efficiency.

The goal? To achieve major time savings through enhanced picking performance—resulting in a highly attractive return on investment (ROI). And with the system’s short installation time, the entire solution is expected to be fully operational before Black Friday 2024.

“We’re excited to invest in Geek+ floor robots. We believe this new and innovative technology will help us achieve our growth ambitions while maintaining the fast delivery times our customers value,”
says Nils Træholt, CEO and Co-founder of Med24.dk.

The project combines 3 PopPick workstations with 30 Shelf-to-Person AMRs, delivering a new level of speed, accuracy, and scalability to Med24.dk’s operations.

“Given Med24.dk’s rapid growth, we’re proud to deliver a tailored automation solution that meets their evolving needs,”
says Morten Kirch, CSO at STL.

The Geek+ Shelf-to-Person solution is engineered to streamline warehouse operations by using mobile robots to transport entire shelving units directly to picking stations. This forward-thinking approach eliminates the need for heavy infrastructure investment and offers unmatched flexibility in handling items of all shapes and sizes.
